The Unified State Register of Pets will be created in Ukraine

Unified state register of pets
The government adopted a resolution to create an electronic registry for pets, which aims to facilitate the introduction of digital veterinary passports and bring Ukrainian legislation in line with European standards.
This electronic registry will store all the necessary data about pets, including a description of the animal, information about its owner, as well as vaccination details and other important information. The plan is to scale this system to all pets, which will allow for convenient and efficient management of pet information.
This register will become the basis for the introduction of digital passports for pets, thus replacing traditional paper documents. Owners will be able to easily access digital copies of passports via their smartphones, which will simplify the process of managing data about their pets.
In addition, this system will be useful for pet owners in case of loss of their pets, especially in the context of conflict. Thanks to the electronic registry, it will be possible to quickly find and return the lost animal to its owner.
Registration in this system will be voluntary and free of charge, and information about animals can be entered at any time convenient for the owner in public or private veterinary clinics.
These innovations will be an important step in improving pet data management, ensuring the safety of information and facilitating communication between owners and medical staff to provide the best care for pets.
