MONATIK: repaired song “Something that makes you crazy”

The artist and composer MONATIK continues to present the renovated versions of his legendary compositions. After the extremely successful presentation of the song “Every Time” to his fans, the musician asked on his social media: “Which song are you looking forward to the repair the most?” The leading answer was today’s premiere!

“The music video for “Something that makes you crazy” was also overhauled, and was released on the day of the premiere on YouTube. At the time, the video received many awards at music awards, such as “Best Video of the Year.” This work is directed by Grammy nominee and MONATIK’s permanent music video director Tanya Muinho. 

“While working on the translation, I kept asking myself questions: “Is this emotion timely?” But in the end I realized that today I live every day as if it were my last. After all, I might not wake up tomorrow. I understand this, I have accepted it. So today I’m stitching up my soul with music. Because tomorrow the soul may be torn to pieces again, but we will do everything to save and repair it. Dance like it was the last time. Enjoy the moment as if it were the last time. To be strong in spirit in spite of the enemy! As Lesya Ukrainka wrote, “…in order not to cry, I laughed.” To keep from going crazy, I’m doing everything I can, everything in my power. As if it were the last time. Perhaps very soon all my experiences will come back to me, but right now… let nothing embarrass us!!! (At least these three and a half minutes),” says the artist.

On the day of the song’s premiere on music platforms, MONATIK will perform at a charity concert in Kyiv to raise funds for the needs of the soldiers of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For the first time, DTEK will premiere the song live for Kyiv residents and guests invited to the concert, including soldiers, volunteers, doctors and employees.

It also became known that the composition will be included in the concert program of the All-Ukrainian charity tour “ART Defense”. Which starts on July 4, 2023!
