Ukraine, Belgium and the Netherlands sign a declaration
Ukraine, Belgium and the Netherlands signed a joint declaration in The Hague.
“Until Ukraine becomes a NATO member, Belgium and the Netherlands remain committed to supporting Ukraine on its path to further Euro-Atlantic integration and to strengthening Ukraine’s ability to defend itself against the current Russian military aggression and any future threat. Ukraine’s security is of great importance to the Alliance”, – said reports. Office of the President of Ukraine.
Within the framework of the NATO-Ukraine partnership, Belgium and the Netherlands will promote long-term interoperability with NATO, reform and reconstruction of Ukraine’s defense industry, and institutional and capacity building.
Belgium and the Netherlands will continue to support Ukraine, namely by providing strong military, humanitarian and financial support. In addition, they will continue to explore the possibility of using frozen and immobilized Russian assets to support Ukraine’s recovery.
Belgium and the Netherlands continue to stand by their unwavering support for Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders.
