Ukrainians in the UK will receive free tickets to the Eurovision Song Contest

Ukrainians in the UK will receive free tickets to the Eurovision Song Contest. The British government will distribute up to 3,000 Eurovision tickets to IDPs from Ukraine.

Ukraine won the last Eurovision Song Contest. However, due to the full-scale invasion of Russia, the song contest will be held in the UK.

The tickets will give IDPs the opportunity to attend one of the Eurovision concerts and support Ukrainians at the contest.

“Today’s announcement means that we will be offering thousands of tickets to people displaced by the war so that they can take part in a show dedicated to their homeland, their culture and their music. As always, we stand with the Ukrainian people and their fight for freedom,” said British Minister of Culture Lucy Fraser.

The announcement follows President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit to the UK, during which the Prime Minister emphasized the UK’s commitment to supporting Ukraine and helping to ensure a lasting peace.
