Starbucks introduces coffee with olive oil
The American Starbucks chain introduces a new drink in Milan – coffee with olive oil.
Starbucks continues to experiment and find new flavors of coffee, mixing this drink with another revered Italian food: olive oil.
The innovation was named “oleato” from the Italian oliva. The drink consists of iced espresso, espresso martini, and latte with olive oil, “steamed with oat milk.” This was reported in The Guardian.
The idea came to Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz. According to him, during a trip to Sicily, he had a daily ritual of taking a spoonful of extra virgin olive oil with his morning coffee. And then I decided to experiment by mixing the two together.
This spring, Oleato will also appear in Southern California in the United States, as well as in Japan, the Middle East, and the United Kingdom.
