The host show «Freedom of Speech» Vadym Karpiak about a projectile hitting the house

On the first day of the full-scale war Vadym Karpiak went to work. At that time, his wife’s father was in Bucha.

“On February 25, he had tickets to the Kherson. But it was impossible to get out of Bucha. He lived there. Тhey made contact through a neighbor – once a day in the morning to get in touchwith each other. He would find a spotwhere he would get a connection and tell me that his father was alive,” – the host said.

Fortunately, on March 11th. the man was able to take an evacuation bus from Bucha to Kyiv.

“He lived with me at work, sleeping on a cot in the Freedom of Speech office. I am 24 in the morning as I left, and only got to Bucha on April 3 with a film crew group. ЗI also asked to see what was wrong with the house. Бis alone, but with a hole in the wall – A small shell hit the second floor. Father. then was at home, on the ground floor. He says the whole house shook. I was very lucky 20 cm question. If it had come to the right, it would have there would have been a fire. Because there’s wooden bed and mattress. And so, It fell on the laminate flooring, which saved it.” – shared Karpiak.
