In Ukraine, they created an application for teaching children without electricity and the Internet
A team of Ukrainian developers from the Unicorn School virtual school created the world’s first mobile application for smartphones and tablets. It should help children learn even in conditions of power and Internet outages. Thanks to the smart download function, learning material for all subjects is remotely downloaded by teachers to the device every day. And the child can learn lessons already in the application.
The development was named Unicorn. You can download the service on both Android and iOS. The description says that this is an innovative school education licensed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in the format of an online computer game for students from grades 5 to 11.
Learning takes place in a game format with visualization of each subject, where the student becomes the main character in a fairy-tale online kingdom with a personal avatar – a knight or a princess.

In addition to regular ratings, users receive magic crystals, gold coins, cups, and other rewards to upgrade their avatar. The program automatically sends the homework to the teacher for review after the Internet connection is restored. At the same time, students still have access to textbooks and more than 17,000 other methodological materials. The child, depending on the situation, can choose which subjects to learn right now, without being tied to a schedule. After each completed lesson, there are tasks to test knowledge.
