Heaters and warm clothes for children who have lost their parents: where to go
Children of Heroes Charitable Foundation takes care of 1,154 children who lost one or both parents as a result of the war. In total, the foundation plans to take care of 5,000 children, so it is actively looking for wards to help them survive the loss of their loved ones and provide them with the necessary things. If you know such children, give the foundation’s contacts to their guardians.
Given the critical heating problems this year, one of the highest priority types of assistance is providing children with warm clothes, heaters and firewood.
What does it take to become a ward of Children of Heroes BF?
Fill out the form and have a list of required documents:
- Passport of mother/father or guardian.
- Identification code of mother/father or guardian.
- Birth certificate of the child/children.
- Death certificate of father/mother (or both parents).
- IBAN (international bank account number).
- Consent to the processing of personal data.
If there is no death certificate, you can provide:
– medical opinion on death;
– a document from a military unit confirming death;
– decree of the President of Ukraine on awarding titles (Hero of Ukraine, For Courage, etc.) marked “posthumously”, where the name of the deceased must be highlighted in the Decree.
As a reminder, thanks to the “Warm for Children” project, 302 wards of the fund have already received autumn clothes, and 192 – winter clothes. In addition, BF “Children of Heroes” provided 24 families with firewood for heating their houses until the end of the autumn-winter period of 2022-2023, and 319 families received heaters. The project is still ongoing, so the foundation continues to provide warm clothes and heating equipment so that as many children as possible can meet the cold in warmth and comfort.
The fund provides assistance in 6 areas, which include psychological, legal, financial, medical, emergency assistance and socialization. The organization accompanies children until they reach adulthood and emphasizes their dignified, active and educated life.
