KAZKA band became an ambassador of peace from Ukraine in Japan
KAZKA became an ambassador of peace from Ukraine and made the Japanese fall in love with our music and culture. This trip was primarily a charitable mission, so the program included not only speeches but also important meetings, including with Ukrainian refugees, representatives of the Japanese government, the Ukrainian ambassador to Japan, local schoolchildren and students. The group also took part in the Symposium on Supporting Ukraine at the United Nations University.
During the tour, Sasha Zaritska and her musicians gladly shared their work, introduced the public to Ukrainian culture and, of course, talked about the realities of war, emphasizing the enormous importance of support from Japanese society – in short, they became ambassadors of peace from Ukraine in Japan.
A separate reason for pride is KAZKA’s joint performance with the Japanese star Sugizo, an insanely popular musician and composer who, among other things, writes soundtracks for top anime. Together they performed the song Only Love, Love & Peace, which will be released in Japan and Ukraine in the near future. It is interesting that Sugizo personally announced his collaboration with KAZKA from a huge billboard in the heart of Tokyo’s Shibuya district.
“Meeting Sugizo was a milestone for us. He is an incredibly talented person who sincerely supports Ukraine and believes in us. Our duet is a kind of starting point for conquering the Asian market, so there are many interesting musical experiments ahead. We are delighted with the way the Japanese reacted to our music. For them, it’s something completely new and unusual,” comments KAZKA’s frontwoman Sasha Zaritska.
