Legendary singer Tina Turner dies
The famous American singer Tina Turner passed away at the age of 83. The legendary singer died in Switzerland.
“Tina Turner, the ‘Queen of Rock and Roll,’ died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness at her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland. The world has lost a musical legend and role model,” Sky News reports.
Born in Tennessee, USA, she was one of the most prominent rock singers, known for her stage charisma and a number of hits, including The Best, Proud Mary, Private Dancer and What’s Love Got to Do With It. In 1984, Tina released her multi-platinum solo album Private Dancer, and her single What’s Love Got to Do With It topped the charts and won three Grammy Awards. In 2018, she received the Grammy Award for Lifetime Achievement.
