All women over 40 years of age are recommended to undergo a routine mammogram once a year for early diagnosis of breast cancer. In Ukraine, women have the right to be examined free of charge at one of the clinics funded by the state’s Medical Guarantee Program.<\/p>\n

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among women. More than 5.5 thousand people die from this disease every year. Ukrainian women. Early diagnosis makes it possible to overcome the disease; palpation does not allow detecting a serious illness at an early stage, for this you need to undergo a mammogram.<\/p>\n

Not all women know that mammograms are free in Ukraine, they just need to visit a family doctor<\/a> who must issue a referral. At the same time, all women<\/a>, regardless of age, have this right if there are indications for mammography.<\/p>\n

In total, more than 240 healthcare facilities across the country provide free mammography services in Ukraine, which have an agreement with the National Health Service of Ukraine under the Mammography package. <\/p>\n

In addition, in the last decade of October, Helsi users have the opportunity to undergo an instrumental breast examination at a significant discount in a number of private medical institutions<\/a>. Thus, the cheapest consultation with a mammologist during this period will cost 1 UAH.<\/p>\n
