Ukrainian athlete Olena Kostevich won her fourth Olympic medal.<\/p>\n
The 36-year-old athlete, paired with Oleg Omelchuk, won bronze in air pistol shooting.<\/p>\n
“First of all, I would like to thank my partner Oleg Omelchuk, as well as our coaches and the team who have been there for us along the way. I am grateful to all of Ukraine, as well as my native Chernihiv region, for the wishes of success and words of support that we continue to receive here in Tokyo. I remember very much the admonition of our outstanding athlete, Olympic champion Sergey Bubka, who a few days ago after my “wooden award” advised me not to worry and believe in myself. These words helped in winning this bronze medal,” shares Elena.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Kostevych became the fifth Ukrainian Olympian to win honors at three games. She won a gold medal in 2004 and took home two bronze medals in 2012.<\/p>\n
“Another victory of our Olympians! Ukrainian tandem Elena Kostevich\/Oleh Omelchuk won a bronze medal in the mixed team competition in air pistol shooting at a distance of 10 meters. Sincere congratulations! We are proud of you!”, – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky joined the congratulations.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
