The Squid Game series<\/a>, which was released on Netflix<\/a> in 2021, conquered the world and became the most popular non-English-language show on the streaming platform in history.<\/p>\n

In the second season, director Hwang Dong-hyuk wants to reveal more details about the Korean police and its role in society.<\/p>\n

“I believe that the problem with the police is not only a Korean issue. Often in the news, you can see that law enforcement agencies act too late, which leads to more victims or an escalation of the situation because they do not respond quickly. This is an issue I’ve wanted to raise for a long time. Perhaps in the second season I will be able to talk about it in more detail,” said Hwang.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In addition, during the Deadline Contenders Television event, the director revealed two big names who are returning in the second season. These are Ki Hoon, played by Lee Jong-jae, and In-ho, played by Lee Byung-hong.<\/p>\n
