\"labor\"The Spanish city of Valencia has launched a unique experiment of a 4-day work week. The goal is to find out the impact of a 4-day work week on “civic aspects, not just business<\/a>, finance or public administration.” The Mayor of Valencia, Joan Ribot, emphasized that the study will not directly address “the reduction of working hours.”<\/p>\n

“It’s about conducting a test, gaining experience within the innovation axis, which is created for people… We are working on things that directly benefit people,” Ribot said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The experiment will last for a month. The working week during this month will be 32 hours (not 40 hours). This is what Comunidad Valenciana<\/a> says.<\/p>\n

It is worth noting that business feasibility will not be considered at all – the assessment will only focus on the impact of a shorter working week on the health and well-being of residents and the environment.<\/p>\n
