\"DmytroSTB continues to air premiere episodes of<\/a> the Supermom reality series! To help all Ukrainian women understand who an indestructible supermom really is, using the example of the project’s protagonists. In addition, in each issue, the project’s host, an expert in childhood developmental psychology, Dmytro Karpachov, gives practical and valuable advice. For example, he told us whether parents should give in to their children when they play games. <\/p>\n

This week, mothers from Lviv are competing for the title of “supermom”. One of them is Victoria. Their family is very athletic and active. Vika is a master of sports in rhythmic gymnastics, and her husband is a master of sports in artistic gymnastics, an artist of Cirque du Soleil. Together, the couple is raising nine-year-old Ulyana. Her parents gave their daughter the opportunity to try different sports, but now, like her mother, she is focused on rhythmic gymnastics.<\/p>\n

\"Dmytro \"DmytroVictoria suggested that the rivals meet at the gym, where the family could demonstrate their skills. Ulyana and her dad started the game, each of them performed a gymnastic exercise, and the project participants gave a point to the one who impressed them the most. According to the results of the competition, Oleksiy won. Vika’s rivals said that her father should have given in to his daughter… but is this right?<\/p>\n

 “Should we give in to children in games and competitions? It depends on many factors. First, the age of the child. Nine-year-old Ulyanka is already well aware of what is happening and can see giveaways as a manifestation of disrespect and lack of faith in her. For younger children, giveaways can be an incentive to continue playing, because they will win, and this is excitement and interest. Secondly, it is very important to understand your child’s personality, how he or she feels about competition and losing. The main thing is that you motivate your child by your actions, and not discourage him or her from improving their skills.”<\/em> – Dmytro Karpachov shared.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
