\"PresentationThe Main Military Clinical Hospital will present a joint art project titled “Born from the Flame” to support the construction of a modern inclusive emergency department. The result of cooperation with the creative team of authors <\/span>–<\/span>  photographer Mina Sorvino and stylist  Anna Yegorova created an art book with artistic portraits of soldiers defending Ukraine, their poetry and poems by Ukrainian classics, as well as surreal Ukrainian landscapes.<\/span> <\/p>\n

Iryna Soloshenko was one of the authors.<\/span> –<\/span> construction project manager. The producers are Colonel Serhiy Lytvynko, head of the hospital’s admission department, and Iraida Medvedeva, who collaborates with legendary Ukrainian<\/a> artists and museums (Anatoliy Haydamaka, the Chornobyl Museum, Mykola Vingranovsky Museum).<\/span><\/p>\n

The heroes of the art book are famous defenders, rock stars of our turbulent times – the hero of Ukraine Vadym Svyrydenko,  Zaliznyak, Yankee, Andriy Bezsmertnyi, Oleksandr Pohrebysky “Patriot”, Yulia Payevska “Tyra”, Tata Kepler and others. However, among the portraits that are recognizable at first glance, there are faces that the authors of the project wanted to introduce to the viewer, as they are volunteers and career military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who do extremely difficult work along with their more media-friendly brothers and sisters.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among these people are Arsen, a fighter with the Kholodnyi Yar Brigade with the call sign Vegan, who fought for the right of vegan soldiers to have the necessary rations, Ukrainian poet and combat paramedic Dmytro Shandra, military paramedic and artist Eva Tur, chief anesthesiologist of a military hospital, Colonel Oleksandr Buhay, chairman of the Council of Reservists of the Ukrainian Army Ivan Tymochko, and others.  <\/span><\/p>\n

The photos of the defender Vitaliy Kirkach-Antonenko, who was killed in action a few days after the shooting, and whose memory will be honored with a minute of silence during the event, were especially special for all project participants.<\/span><\/p>\n

The art project “Born from the Flame”: guests will see figurative art  video art accompanied by improvisation  a cappella by the soloist of the New Opera Mariana Holovko and sound by composer Max Smogol, a poetry performance by the authors of poems included in the art book and famous artists, namely: Tata Kepler, Eva Tur. Ada Rogovtseva, Kateryna Kalytko, Kateryna Stepankova, and Yevhen Nishchuk. <\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of the event, there will be a video greeting from the heroes at the front, followed by autograph sessions with the project’s military, informal communication with the team, organizers and guests, and an auction of items from the defenders, the proceeds of which, along with the funds raised from the sale of the art book, postage stamps and posters, will go to the needs of the hospital and military doctors.  You can pre-order the art book here<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event will take place at Unit.City, the main innovation park of Ukraine, on March 29, at 18:00.<\/span><\/p>\n

The book includes poems by Kateryna Kalytko, Iryna Tsilyk, Pavlo Vysebaba, Mykola Vingranovsky, Dmytro Shandra, Eva Tur, and Tata Kepler.<\/p>\n

The title of the art book is an homage to the iconic work of the Ukrainian poet Oles Babiy “We Were Born in a Great Hour,” from which the legendary anthem of the OUN-UPA emerged. The book features illustrations by Ukrainian artist Nikita Vlasov.<\/span> In the shoots for the art book, the Ukrainian brands PRZHONSKAYA and INDPOSHIV were used.<\/p>\n
