\"Devohome\"The Ukrainian hemp fiber clothing and home textile brand DevoHome has won the main award of the Green Product Award 2023.<\/p>\n

Participants from 40 countries submitted a record 1,300 entries, demonstrating through their participation and interest in the awards the importance of ideas, products, concepts and materials in shaping a more sustainable future. <\/span><\/p>\n

The hemp fur coat won the Green Product Award 2023 in theFashion<\/a>category.<\/span><\/p>\n

Devohome<\/p><\/div>\n

The Green Product & Concept Award is presented annually to products and concepts that stand out in terms of design, innovation and sustainability.  <\/span><\/p>\n

This year, 200 best products and concepts were nominated in the fashion category.  The winners came from Austria, China, Costa Rica, Denmark, France, Germany, Israel, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. <\/span><\/p>\n

“The hemp fur project shows how unnecessary it is to breed animals only for fur production, when there is a plant-based alternative in fashion and in areas where warm fabric is needed,” the Green Product Award jury officially stated.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“We are the first in the world to develop and offer innovative fur based on nonwoven hemp fiber as a substitute for natural and eco-friendly fur,” said Oksana Devo, founder of the brand.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Innovative material HempFur, replacing animal and synthetic fur; its qualities are suitable for sewing hemp coats. Devohome also produces natural hemp insulation, which is used for coats, jackets, and vests as a replacement for down and synthetics commonly used in the mass market.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hemp fiber is a durable biodegradable material, grows without herbicides and pesticides, is resistant to pests, quickly absorbs and releases moisture, is hypoallergenic; it provides excellent temperature regulation and air circulation.<\/span><\/p>\n

DevoHome emphasizes that when creating HempFur, they consciously treat all the links of creation, not killing but restoring the traditional Ukrainian production of hemp textiles.<\/span><\/p>\n

The award ceremony will take place in Berlin  on March 24, 2023, and will be broadcast live here<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
